June Howell has been called "A little powerhouse".
"There is a rich authenticity to her voice"
"She sings from a deep place"
Jon Koonce stated, "You need to hear her. Her voice will peel the paint right off the walls".
June started singing in Portland clubs with a garage band in the early 80\'s before she joined with Joe Casimir in 1989. Together they formed the high tech duo, "Goody Two Shoes". They played for many corporate parties and were regulars at Kahneetah Resort for several years until they decided to retire the sequencer and form a Blues, Rock & Roll band called "Where\'s Joe".
This later became "June Howell and The Deadbeat Daddies" which infuses a mix of Blues, R&B, Rock & Roll, and some early Roots music, in 2003.
June also makes frequent guest appearances with Sonny Hess and The Northwest Women in Rhythm & Blues Review.
