June Howell

June Howell has been called "A little powerhouse".
"There is a rich authenticity to her voice"
"She sings from a deep place"
Jon Koonce stated, "You need to hear her. Her voice will peel the paint right off the walls".
June started singing in Portland clubs with a garage band in the early 80's before she joined with Joe Casimir in 1989. Together they formed the high tech duo, "Goody Two Shoes". They played for many corporate parties and were regulars at Kahneetah Resort for several years until they decided to retire the sequencer and form a Blues, Rock & Roll band called "Where's Joe".
This later became "June Howell and The Deadbeat Daddies" which infuses a mix of Blues, R&B, Rock & Roll, and some early Roots music, in 2003. June also makes frequent guest appearances with Sonny Hess and The Northwest Women in Rhythm & Blues Review.
Dale Miller
Dale Miller plays music. "Therapy for myself" he calls it. In grade school he "borrowed" his older brother's arch-top Kay and began plinking out Kingston Trio songs, moved up through rock and roll bands, did the long hair folk and protest thing, and now writes and plays whatever strikes his fancy. Originally from Spokane, he played the usual high school dances, bars and lounges, folk festivals, and gatherings throughout the northwest. Dale was drafted in 1970 and stayed in Germany, after discharge from the military, playing extensively at US military bases and throughout Europe. Returning to the states he has played the usual haunts in Montana, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia, and of course Oregon.
Described as having an "easy style", Dale enjoys interacting with the audience and engaging guests rather than just chopping out the same old tunes. His style can run the gamut from originals to covers, blues to folk, light pop to bawdy ballads and beyond, and he enjoys the gig as much as everyone else!
